It is now- reported that Dost Mabommed is hostile to Russia, as are all the Mahom inedans of India, Some difficulties bad occurred between Turkey and Greece. XX GLAXO. Parliament had been further prorogued till January 3d. A treaty had been concluded between England and France, guaranteeing the in tegrity of Turkey, giving Austria and Prus sia the privilege of joining in it. SPAW At a ball given by the Frencl Ambas sador at Madrid, the Duke of Alba, broth er in-law of the French Empress, made a disparaging remark concerning the dre3s of Mrs. Soule, wife of the American Min ister, which -being overheard by young Soule, be made a slight assault on the Duke. Mr. Soule, however, interfered and removed his son, but the affair created much excitement. Young Soule n-fier-wards challenged tbe Duke, who refused acceptance. PEUSSIA. The Prussian Chambers had been open ed. Prussia claims to act as may seem best 'for her own interest in tbe Eastern war. CEaMANY.
